Kunst Am Hof

Am Hof 8 ist nicht nur ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Netzwerk erweitern, sondern auch ein Ort der Inspiration. Mithilfe unseres Kurators Herwig Kempinger, werden in den Räumlichkeiten des Clubs spannende Künstler und ihre Kunstwerke ausgestellt. Die Ausstellung wird alle 6 Monate durch unseren Kurator getauscht.

Anita Witek

Anita Witek studierte Malerei an der Universität für Angewandte Kunst in Wien und erhielt einen MA in Fotografie am Royal Collage of Art in London. Nach einem sechsjährigen Aufenthalt in London, lebt und arbeitet die Künstlerin in Wien.

Ihr künstlerisches Schaffen basiert auf raumbezogenen Installationen sowie den Techniken der Collage und Fotomontage. Dabei widmet sie sich der Erforschung unserer Sehgewohnheiten und hinterfragt den Wahrheitsgehalt von Bildern. Sie enthüllt die verborgenen ästhetischen und ideologischen Inhalte der verwendeten Vorlagen, während sie gleichzeitig neue eigenständige Bildgeschichten kreiert und diese in den zeitgenössischen Kontext einbettet.

Witeks Werke wurden unter anderem im Lentos Museum, im Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrad (MoCAB), im Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus (Ohio), im Leopold Museum Wien, im Fotomuseum Winterthur sowie im Somerset House in London ausgestellt.

Sie wurde mit dem Österreichischen Kunstpreis für Fotografie, dem Staatsstipendium für Bildende Kunst und dem Grafikpreis der Stadt Wien ausgezeichnet. Darüber hinaus war sie als Artist-in-Residence in London und am ISPC in New York tätig.

Ihre Werke sind u.a. in folgenden Sammlungen vertreten: mumok Wien, Albertina, Museum der Moderne Salzburg, Lentos Museum Linz, Landesmuseum Joanneum Graz, Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum, Innsbruck, TBA21- Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary sowie im
Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas.

Aktuell sind Witeks Werke im mumok Wien in der Ausstellung "Die Welt von morgen wird eine weitere Gegenwart gewesen sein" zu sehen.
